Smile Summer Days is an internal event at Rakuten Group to celebrate summer. At Rakuten Group, where employees of various nationalities work together, we promote internal communication through Japanese summer culture, such as summer festivals, Tanabata (Star Festival held on July 7th), and dressing in yukata (lightweight summer kimono).

The Rakuten Crimson House headquarters entrance was transformed with Tanabata decorations.
The colorful tanzaku strips to write wishes on created a festive atmosphere and a prime photo location.
Smile Summer meet-ups were held at each office. Summer festival-style snacks, sweets, and drinks were served.
Exclusive summer-themed Okaimono Panda fans were also distributed. Many people look forward to these fans every year.

On Tuesday, July 4th, Rakuten Crimson House and the Osaka branch celebrated Yukata Day. Many Rakuten Group employees came to the office dressed in yukata and Jinbei (casual summer two-piece), creating a colorful scene in the office. With a professional kimono dresser offering assistance on-site, participation was open to everyone, even those unfamiliar with wearing yukata.
